The Wash Book

Unit tracking is free. No card, no time limit.

Know exactly which units got washed.

Your crew pick the yard on their phone and tap the units they washed. You see it right away, and at the end of the week the counts by unit type are ready to go on the invoice. That part costs nothing, for as long as you want it.

The free plan

Start with the unit numbers.

Plenty of wash companies still keep unit numbers on paper, in a group text, or in a spreadsheet somebody fills in on Friday night. Units get missed and invoices go out short. The free plan fixes that one problem and doesn’t ask for anything else.

  • Your yards and the units at each one. Bring them in from a spreadsheet if you have one.
  • The crew tap units off the list at the yard, or add one that isn’t on it yet.
  • Every wash stays on record with who logged it and when.
  • Counts by unit type, with the unit numbers, ready to copy onto an invoice.
  • One office login and five crew logins. No card, and it doesn’t expire.

No extra work

One tap at the yard fills in the rest.

The crew already tap the unit they washed. That one tap carries the yard, the day, who did it and the time on the clock. Nobody types anything else. Your numbers come out of those taps by themselves.

The numbers worth watching

Each one comes from the taps and the clock. There’s nothing extra to enter.

Revenue by the week you did the work

Not the week the invoice went out.

Revenue per unit

Every yard, every week, against your rate.

Minutes per unit

From the crew’s clock, by yard and by person.

Revenue per wash hour

Whether a yard pays for the time it takes.

Skips and missed stops

What didn’t get washed, and why.

Work you haven’t billed yet

Logged washes with no invoice on them.

Who we are

We wash trucks too.

The Wash Book started as something we built for our own fleet wash company in Minnesota. Most field service software is set up for one job and one invoice. Fleet washing doesn’t work that way. You’re at a yard washing forty trailers every other Tuesday, and you bill by the unit.

So we wrote our own, and our crews log every wash in it. When something gets in the way out in the yard, we hear about it the same day, because it’s our own crew it’s slowing down.

Every year
15,000+units washed

That’s what our own crews log in it.

Every Friday

Invoices out

Built from what the crew logged that week, then sent to QuickBooks.

When you want more

The paid plans run the rest of it.

Same app, same records. When you upgrade, everything the crew already logged is still there and starts doing more work for you.

Scheduling

Set up how often each yard gets washed and the schedule fills itself in. Each person sees their own day on their phone.

Invoicing

Put in your rates once. The week’s washes become the week’s invoices, and they go to QuickBooks if you use it.

Your numbers

How much you washed and billed this week, and how it compares. You don’t have to build a spreadsheet to find out.

Your crew

Quality checks, hours and time off, kept with the work itself. The crew never see your prices or what you bill.

Pricing

Free to start. Pay when you need more.

Paid plans come with a set number of users, crew and office alike. Pay for a year up front and you get a month free.
